Phoenix Business Journal’s Top Solar Installers

The Phoenix Business Journal’s list of top solar installers was announced in March 2012, and Harmon Electric/Harmon Solar made it in the top 10, ranking seventh for kilowatts installed in 2011and third for  number of employees. This is up 3 spots from tenth for kilowatts in 2010 and up 12 spots from 19th in kilowatts in 2009. Harmon Electric began solar installations in 2008 under the trade name Harmon Solar. Harmon Solar to Complete the Company’s Largest Solar Project to Date

Harmon Electric/Harmon Solar was recently awarded its largest solar project to date, a multi-location design and installation for the Douglas Unified School District. Awarded through APS’s school and government program, this will be Harmon Solar’s third assignment under this umbrella. The total project size is more than 745 kW, spread out among three locations: Douglas High School, Paul Huber Junior High, and Stevenson Elementary, with the high school being the largest solar array out of the three.  Combined the photovoltaic systems will produce more than 1 million kWh of energy annually, which equates to approximately $100,000 of energy.
