Harmon Electric/Harmon Solar was recently awarded its largest solar project to date, a multi-location design and installation for the Douglas Unified School District. Awarded through APS’s school and government program, this will be Harmon Solar’s third assignment under this umbrella. The total project size is more than 745 kW, spread out among three locations: Douglas High School, Paul Huber Junior High, and Stevenson Elementary, with the high school being the largest solar array out of the three. Combined the photovoltaic systems will produce more than 1 million kWh of energy annually, which equates to approximately $100,000 of energy. Construction is currently underway, and the systems will take approximately three months to complete.
